Lasenkan Theater (English Version) The company was found at first in Amagasaki (near Osaka). Its aim is to creat a modern theater that is effective on the border of languages and cultures. Since 1989 the company have been performing in 17 countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania and America. In 1994 the company began a theaterform using several languages and have had rehearsals in Canet de Mar (Barcelona, Spain) and in Berlin. Since 1997 Lasenkan Theater have been performing the works written by a contemporary, female writer, Yoko Tawada. Since 2002 Lasenkan Theater Berlin have started its activities in Berlin, Germany. |
